I haven't been blogging a lot lately as it seems like I have no time. Don't ask me why it's felt like that, but it has and I haven't (been blogging, that is.) Likewise I haven't been writing much, either.
I think that the whole diet/lose weight/prepare for gastric bypass surgery has eaten my brain. (Making matters worse, in the last 9 days, my weight has bounced up and down eleven pounds in a bizarre fashion, which is driving me crazy. First, up five pounds, then down two, up one, down five, down three, up five, down four, down another few pounds, then up four pounds again today, so that I net the same weight I had before all this started. {I think I chronicled that right, anyhow.)} It's crazy, especially considering that I cannot, absolutely cannot, gain any weight before surgery in September!)
And it's Spring, so there are myriad projects on both houses that need attention and for which I have no enthusiasm. Oh well, that's life, right?
I did wake up at 3:30 am before work today and decided to write. But instead I ended up blogging for the week, including the long post just below this one!
However, I am going to sit down and actually work on something of my own today, as well as a beta read I was supposed to have finished for a friend last month.
It's weird how weight will do that at times. Especially when you're not taking in extra calories, it's weird when the weight goes up! Some kind of hormonal thing with water retention I imagine.

The whole bouncing weight thing really sucks.

It is especially strange when this week I've been well below my normal intake and have still be consistently exercising! Oh well, like you say Charles it is likely hormonal. But who retains 5 pounds of water and loses it the next day? Well...I guess I do! But it seems like it shouldn't happen!

I've seen up to a kilo come and go over a 48-hour period (just over two pounds) so it's definitely possible. I'm doing the calorie counting thing which isn't fun but seems to be helping. Mon-Fri I'm sticking to under 1,200 calories and then weekends off (still watching what I eat but not calorie counting or fretting too much.
Anyway, plenty of sympathy from me on that score but that's not why I popped by! I wanted to show you this: http://www.8minutes.info/
